This work is a celebration of simple pleasures: fruit and color. In a 1st world society people are driven by their transient desires towards commodities that further their status, qualify their identity, and serve as a vehicle for escapism. Increasingly I have found dismay in the dance of commodities and that appreciation of the mundane and for granted is more sustainable. In the afternoon, when I start reaching for snacks, I reflect on my privilege to have access to a variety of fruits and remember to cherish what I have.
