Description
I am seeking meaning. This work is a self portrait of me holding a lamp in my room, the place where I spend most of my time contemplating my values. Through contemplation I have deduced my failure to hold sustained values is due to seeking them in artificial and ephemeral places. And yet with this recognition, it is intivatable that I return to these places: amidst the dark I seek light(meaning), not from the sun(a relatively timeless figure), but from a lamp(the artificial and transient).
