Description

When did we become disconnected from nature? Reflecting on the christian notion of being born into this world versus the Taoist notion of being born of this world, this work demonstrates my view on the matter: it is both. I believe that humans are vastly interconnected to the world around them yet we remain distinct. As the figures swim with the fishes, there is a harmony between them through their mimicking movements of the water and animals, however, forefront in the composition, these figures are meant to stand out.
