Description
The artwork was inspired by a contemporary idea of contextualizing how people are born into humanity, where people become absorbed into a world of ideology, and are tasked with sorting out truth. The work also draws on biblical imagery from the Tower of Babel, where the snake-like figures rise, representing an attempt to claim superiority of their truth. Additionally the flower is symbolic of innocence and purity, parallel to the state of humanity in the garden of Eden before the fall. Similar to in the Bible, the snake represents a deceiver.
