Description
The artwork features two purple trees, symbolic of the connection between my father and me. Purple is the designated color for epilepsy awareness and is also a personal favorite. The spirals and swirls represent the disorientation I experienced, both mentally and physically, as I navigated this diagnosis. My attention to detail seeks to integrate order and disorder, reflecting the balance I strive for in life. The addition of the butterfly, a personal symbol of hope, is shown moving through a forest, mirroring my transition into an uncertain phase of life while maintaining a sense of self-assurance.
This piece is representative of my broader artistic practice in its introspective nature, use of symbolism, and the blending of structured and fluid elements, using art as a means to express tension within myself.
